Transforming with Travel

Strengths Builder Retreat

Every year I plan a Strengths Builder Retreat in a different country. Please sign up for my newsletter to receive updates on when the next one will be! This group retreat focuses on character development and a new virtue every day. For instance, one day we may be diving with sharks and practicing bravery while another day we may be volunteering at an orphanage to learn more about empathy.

This trip is perfect for purpose-driven individuals who are interested in personal growth and want to form a community of like-minded individuals. All excursions are voluntary and you may work at your own pace.

Below are samples from our last fourteen-day Vietnam itinerary which outlines what types of excursions these retreats cover.

  • Our retreats optimize travel routes and direct you where to go day by day.

  • We offer suggestions on daily group excursions, taking the guesswork out of planning.

  • During each stop along the way, we point out character strengths that you should be on the lookout for. We encourage you to find your own too!

  • At the end of each stop, we offer you reflection questions to either ponder with yourself or with your fellow travel companions.

  • We also utilize the archetypes and framework of the Enneagram, to help you and your fellow travelers build more empathy for how the other may experience your travels together!

Sacred Mushroom Pilgrimage to Mexico

We offer an annual weeklong pilgrimage to travel to Oaxaca, Mexico, where we commune with the sacred mushroom and build community with other fellow spiritual seekers.

On this journey, you will be transported to a tiny mountain village called San Jose del Pacifica, where you will work with an indigenous Zapotec family and attend a daylong retreat where you will dive deep into your inner self. Activities may include working with clay, a drum circle, a Tamazcal ceremony, along with many others.

The following day you will be transported to a beautiful goat farm to host the mushroom ceremony in their sacred tradition. We follow this monumental experience up with a daylong integration circle held in nature, with opportunities for quiet and reflective time.

Travelers will be transported back to the vibrant city of Oaxaca, where we will attend a ceremonial chocolate and corn tour to learn more about the history and traditions of the Mazatec people there. Participants will be able to explore the vibrant village of Oaxaca along with the delectable cuisine and irresistible shopping of the area’s surrounding markets.
