I love to write and this blog has given me the space to really internalize everything that I experienced on my journey here in India.  Throughout my trip, I would jot down little sayings, lessons, or moments that I held dear to write about later on when we would come back to our homestay and have downtime at night.  What I found was so many of these experiences had so many commonalities that I will take with me into the next chapter of my life.  I wanted to share them with you in the hopes that some of these may ring true for you as well. I hope you enjoy!

  1. Find meaning and purpose in everything that you do.
  2. Think positively and good karma will always come to you.
  3. Self control and daily rituals bring balance to your life.
  4. Give from your heart, not to receive good karma but because it is the right thing to do.
  5. Everything is holy, divine, and beautiful.Zen stones
  6. Eat like a King at breakfast, a Prince at lunch, and a Pauper at dinner.
  7. Attention to detail makes all the difference.  It is always the smallest gesture that counts the most.
  8. Be a Gentle Giant
  9. Treat yourself well and splurge once in awhile!
  10. Death can also be a rebirth. Perspective is everything.
